Mojo Monday 174

Well I started out following the Mojo Monday 174 sketch. I ended up on a tangent and it doesn't really fit this sketch. But since I started with it, I feel it only fitting to state that I started with it. I used Mini Monograms for the scalloped square, which I added paper piercing to. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up. The chandelier is from my new French Manor Cricit cartridge. I finished it up with some Spare Parts flowers and brads.

Happy Valentines

For this valentines day card I used my Sweethearts Cricut cartridge for the hearts. The stamp is the Happy Heart Day stamp set from Stampin' Up. I stitched around the base for some added texture. The ric rac was made using my scalloped border punch. This technique I learned from StampinPretty.com.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 91

My first card with my new Nate's ABCs Cricut cartridge. I wanted to make a male theme card. I found this plaid paper in my ton's of scrapbook paper I bought eons ago. I also used Create A Critter for the oval behind the dog. I'm thinking that maybe I shouldn't have used ribbon for a male card...but it's already done so it will stay.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 93

This is my first card using my new Birthday Bash cardtridge. For a cheerful birthday card, I decided to use all these bright colors and added texture with embossing folders. I also added some rhinestones and glitter glue for extra bling.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 101

Here is my take of SSSC101. I went a little different from the sketch. I cut out the ovals from my new French Manor cartridge and they were way too small to use in the center. So I flipped it to the side and added this ladybug that I had pre-assemble {which was too small for another card I was making...lol} I'm thinking that I should have used some designer paper for this one. Well I'm still happy with the out come.

My Cricut Rewards Haul

I've been saving up my rewards points because there didn't seem to be anything I felt like spending them on. Well, the other day when I logged on they had all these new items. I was so excited! Then I saw that they said "Circle Exclusive" and I was disappointed. I got to thinking, why are these showing up now when they never did before? I decided to see if I could add them to my shopping cart and low and behold they did. Before I could check out, I had to stop to do something else {life does get in the way sometimes}. When I came back the next day, those new items were no longer there but guess what they were still in my shopping cart. So I checked out. Only $11.88 for all 4 cartridges.

Later, when I was on the Cricut Message board I saw someone said that there was a systme glitch that was allowing everyone to see the Circle Exclusive items. One women even said that she ordered some but was sent an email the next day saying her order was cancelled because she wasn't a Circle member. So I kept expecting that to happen to me. But it never did {smile}, I recived an shipping notification email and I received the cartridges a few days later.

So I guess I got away with it. I don't feel guilty, because I when I ordered the items, I had no intention of trying to cheat anything. Also at the same time, regardless of a system glitch, I think they should have honored any orders anyway.

My first Ella Layout

This is the start of an album that I am making for my son. This is his half sister Ella {from his father}. He just adores his little sis, so I've decided to start a scrapbook for him. She is such a cutie {smile}. I used either Home Accents for Home Decor...I can't seem to remember and am too lazy to go through the image library to see which one has these cuts {sorry}. The papers are from a clearence DCWV paper pad. A used lots of stickles to make the Cricut cuts sparkley like the background paper.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 100

I had fun with this one. I've wanted an excuse to use this cat since I recieved the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge {actually it has only been about a week...lol}. The papers are scraps from a project I did last week {which I also used the Nifty Fifties cart}. The circle is from George and Basic Shapes and the border strip if from the Give a Hoot cartridge.

Simple Valentine Card

I started out with the green background. I've been on a kick about using these brighter colors. Then I used the blue center, but still had no idea where I was going with this. Finally, I just deciced to go with this simple heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Added the Love at the botton and the faux stitching and called it done.

Mojo Monday 173

So here is my take on this weeks Mojo Monday. I found these cute candy hearts in my stash. They are actually buttons, which I had to cut off the back so they could lay flat. The paper is from my scrap stash...I have so much scraps, I could make dozens and dozens of cards from them. The ribbon is from the $1.00 bin at Micheal's a couple years ago {I had to turn it over and use the back because the front had flowers on it}.

Ladybug - Happy Birthday

I'm always needing birthday cards, so here is another to add to my on hand supply. Since getting the Paisley Cricut cartridge, I've wanted to use this adorable ladybug. So what better way than on a birthday card? The background dp is from DCWV Mi Casa stack. I bought this quite a while ago on clearance at Michaels and finally going to use some of it.

Mojo 162

I used all scrap paper for this card. I really love how it turned out. I don't often stitch on my cards. But I was encline this day. Not much to say about this card. I used the Creative Memories Reminisce Cricut cartridge for the flower and the border.
