Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #106

So this was a sketch from a few weeks ago over at The Sweetest Thing blog. Just like the one I posted yesterday, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees counter clockwise. Plus this was another card that went together really well. It sure is nice to have a couple of these go so well. The circles are from Mini Monograms and the bird on branch is from the Songbird cardtridge. This really only had a shadow feature, so I cut the base in brown, green and mauve {or whatever color this is...lol}. First I used the green, then added the brown minus the leaves and finally I cut the bird off just above his legs and attached to the brown. It was suprisingly easy to layer.

Thank you for taking a peak at my blog,

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #107

Unfortunately I needed to make a sympathy card for a coworker who recently lost his father to cancer. This is a simple card using todays Sweet Sunday Sketch. The bird is a cut from the Home Decor Cricut Cartridge. I used a Fiskars border punch for the scallopped side. The squares were all hand cut using scraps in green and kraft. The designer paper is from DCWV the Cafe Mediterranean matstack.

I've been sick the last week and a half. So I haven't felt up to crafting. I'm finally feeling better and hope to be making more cards soon.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 105

I've been in a small crafting slump. This is my first card in about a week and a half. Good thing I didn't make the resolution to post everyday or I would have failed. But I have stuck to my 1 post per week resolution so far.

For this card I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. The cardstock is Bazzill, the designer papers are DCWV Linen Closet matstack. I used a nestability behind the flower. The flower is from the Cricut Lite Bloom cartrdge and the swirly thing {lol} is from Home Decor. I finished it up by using pop dots for the nesti and flower and a Happy Birthday stamp.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 103

Here is my take on this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch. I actually cheated a little. I already had the stamp all colored, but did not know how I was going to use it. I actually had the card all done except for the stamp before I decided to use it. I might move the sentiment to the inside of the card. I'm not sure I like it on the outside.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 102

Here is my take on this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch. I really love this tree from Straight fron the Nest Cricut cartridge. I don't know exactly why? This is a simple and sweet Thank You card.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 91

My first card with my new Nate's ABCs Cricut cartridge. I wanted to make a male theme card. I found this plaid paper in my ton's of scrapbook paper I bought eons ago. I also used Create A Critter for the oval behind the dog. I'm thinking that maybe I shouldn't have used ribbon for a male card...but it's already done so it will stay.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 101

Here is my take of SSSC101. I went a little different from the sketch. I cut out the ovals from my new French Manor cartridge and they were way too small to use in the center. So I flipped it to the side and added this ladybug that I had pre-assemble {which was too small for another card I was making...lol} I'm thinking that I should have used some designer paper for this one. Well I'm still happy with the out come.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challange 98

I have not posted in a few months {sad face}. Last year I believe I made a New Years Resolution to post everyday. Well my life has proven that I am not able to do that at this time in my life...But I am going to make a new Resolution that I will post at least once a week.

So for Post #1 of 2011 I choose to use this sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challange. I just loved the sample that Karen Giron made from her sketch...You can see her beautifl sample at this LINK and the her sketch is below.

I will be posting some of my other creations in the next week. I am not sure how much I've done since my last post. I will have to go back and look.

I hope you are all having a great start to the New Year.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challange #85

Today I am posting a card I made yesterday for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challange 85. I did use a little Cricut for the scalloped squares (Mini Monograms). The butterflies are from a Hero Arts stamp set...there were actually 4 to choose from.

Here is the Sketch.
