Mojo Monday #181 Take 2

Ok...so I don't usually use the same sketch two days in a row, but I liked this weeks sketch and I wasn't 100% happy with yesterdays card. So here is take #2. I decided to use some brighter colors for this one. I used Lacy Labels for the circles again {just like yesterday}. But instead of using the swirly thing from Home Decor, I decided to use these leafy things from Home Accents. The butterflys are from a Martha Stewart punch. I added some faux stitching and a sentiment from a Stampin' Up set I have. I am much happier with this card. I hope you like.

Mojo Monday #181 - March Contest

So this weeks Mojo Monday sketch is another contest...if only I could win {sad face}. But I don't think this is one of my best cards. I wish I would not have tried to really stitch this card. It just didn't turn out as nice as I was hoping. Otherwise I am happy with it. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I used Lacy Labels for the scallop and regular circles. Home Decor for the swirly things {I've used that cut on three of my last 4 cards}. I used my Stampin' Up Boho punch with the One of a Kind stamp set for the flowers. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up. I used some old pinking shears for the the brown background paper.

Mojo Monday 177 - It's a Contest Week

I had a ton of fun making this card. I went all out with the bling as well! This giraffe from the Create a Critter cartridge is soo adorable and going with the Valentines theme, I made him/her Pink {woo hoo}. Plus I just had to add the google eyes...what Create a Critter critter doesn't need these??? The stitched felt ribbon is a find from last years Valentines clearance at Michaels then I added those cute button brd. The flowers are by the Paper Studio which I bought at Hobby Lobby. The heart and "love" brads I purchased years ago on clearance...not sure from where.

Wish me luck!!
Valerie
PS: I've never won a challenge before...maybe this will be my first {fingers crossed}

Mojo Monday 176

Here is my take on this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. And yes it's another Valentines Day card. The sketch was pretty simple so my card is as well. I've had these heart brads for quite a while and when I picted out the paper and was deciding how else to decorate this card, I just had to use these.

Mojo Monday 174

Well I started out following the Mojo Monday 174 sketch. I ended up on a tangent and it doesn't really fit this sketch. But since I started with it, I feel it only fitting to state that I started with it. I used Mini Monograms for the scalloped square, which I added paper piercing to. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up. The chandelier is from my new French Manor Cricit cartridge. I finished it up with some Spare Parts flowers and brads.

Mojo Monday 173

So here is my take on this weeks Mojo Monday. I found these cute candy hearts in my stash. They are actually buttons, which I had to cut off the back so they could lay flat. The paper is from my scrap stash...I have so much scraps, I could make dozens and dozens of cards from them. The ribbon is from the $1.00 bin at Micheal's a couple years ago {I had to turn it over and use the back because the front had flowers on it}.

Mojo 162

I used all scrap paper for this card. I really love how it turned out. I don't often stitch on my cards. But I was encline this day. Not much to say about this card. I used the Creative Memories Reminisce Cricut cartridge for the flower and the border.

Mojo Monday 172

I'm having troubles with sketches this week. I don't know why??? I like the end results, but getting there is taking longer than usual. So I've done Saturday, Sunday and Monday sketches. Maybe I can find a Tuesday challange somewhere. Anyone know of one? Well if not I know of another site that has a differnt Saturday challange.

I decided to finally use one of my Cuttlebug folders. I have at 20 of them and very rarely use them. This one is part of a Cricut Companion set {ok I'm not in my craft room at the moment so I don't know which one.} All of the papers used are Core dinations. The dark blue label is from the Lacy Label cartridge and the flower is from the Pagoda cartridge.

Mojo Monday 156 - Create A Critter Christmas

Here is my take on this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch . I had fun going through my Christmas papers to choose my strips on this card. I knew I wanted to use the reindeer from Create A Critter for this card. This was a really easy card for me. I made 4 of them at the same time. I'm exited to know that I have almost a dozen of my Christmas cards done. Yippee!!!

Here is the sketch

Mojo Monday 155

With today being Labor Day I was able to do the Mojo Monday Sketch the same day as it came out. I do have to admit though that I already had the image colored. All I had to do is pick out my papers and ribbon and adhear everything together.

Get Well Soon - Mojo Monday 149

So I'm at it again. I made another card using Create A Critter. But this time I didn't use the actual critter. I just love these flowers. I just had to use them somehow and I've been trying to figure out how. Well, also as you can see I've been using the Mojo Monday Sketches a lot lately as well.

This sketch I started before I had a Cricut cut in mind for the focal point. Once I made my paper choices I thought a flower would be great for the focal point. I knew the squares were going to small but thought these flowers would look great extending out past them. I'm really glad I went with this decision. I am really happy with the results.

Thank you Card - Mojo Monday 150

Happy Sunday!!! I've been busy this weekend. I've been cleaning up and organizing my new sewing room. My son a few months ago wanted to switch rooms. So we moved my sewing room upstairs and his bedroom down stairs. I like it this way as now my sewing room is across the hall from my craft rooom. Yes...I'm lucky that I have two extra rooms to dedicate entirely to my crafting obsessions. I'm hoping now that my sewing room is upstairs and not in the basement
that I will sew more. I'll keep my fingers crossed...but I really love making cards also.

Today I finally made a card using something else besides the Create a Critter cartridge. This card is a Mojo Monday Sketch (#150) and I used Home Accents for the butterfly.

Mojo Monday 151 - Another Create A Critter

I'm late posting today...ha ha. Actually, I've been trying to post ahead of time and scheduling the post. So yesterday I didn't get a chance to sit down and post. So I am posting todays post today.

So here is another Mojo Monday card and Create A Critter all in one. I've wanted to use that cute penquin since I bought the cartridge. I had a hard time with this one. I just wasn't sure about the colors and papers. But over all I am happy with it.
