Snappy Birthday

So I recently bought some new Stampin' Up supplies, so I decided to use them for a birthday card I needed for work. The papers are Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder from the 2011-2013 In Color collection. The stamp set is Crab & Company which is retired now. I colored the little guy with the coordinating Pool Party marker {though it doesn't look like it in the picture...} After putting it together, I just couldn't help myself and added the googly eyes.

I {Heart} Sketch March 2011

For this month's Sketch for you to try I used this bright and cheerful paper from DCWV the Mediterean matstack. I used my Stampin' Up Boho Backgrounds stamp on the white cardstock and punched out these flowers using my Stampin' Up flower punch {I've cut out the center from the background paper by hand}. The swirly thing is a cut from the Home Decor Cricut cartridge. I've left off the sentiment for now as I'm not sure what I will be using this card. More than likely it will end up a birthday card...

Congratulations - Grand Baby

For this simple card to give to a co-worker I used my new Nate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge. I also used the Congrats stamp set for the sentiment inside. I did have to add "grand" since this is to welcome in a Grand Baby.

This is my take on the I {Heart} Sketches January 2011 sketch. See the sketch HERE. My stamp is from the Happy Heart Day stamp set from Stampin' Up. I used my limited Copic markers to color it in. Added a flower to finish it up.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 101

Here is my take of SSSC101. I went a little different from the sketch. I cut out the ovals from my new French Manor cartridge and they were way too small to use in the center. So I flipped it to the side and added this ladybug that I had pre-assemble {which was too small for another card I was making...lol} I'm thinking that I should have used some designer paper for this one. Well I'm still happy with the out come.

Lovely as a Tree - In Sympathy

I made this card to have on hand. I guess I figured you never know when you will need a sympathy card. The stamp is from the "Lovely as a Tree" set from Stampin' Up. The designer paper is from The Paper Compy and the ribbon is from JoAnn's.

Christmas Gifts - Card Sets

So for the girls at work this year I decided to make each of them a card set. I took the week of Thanksgiving off to use up my vacation time (I get Thursday and Friday as paid Holidays, so I only had to use 3 vacation days {smiley face} to get the whole week off). I spent a good 2 and 1/2 days working on these.

I made the box from Bags, Tags, Boxes and More. I had to tweek the matchbox cut to fit my cards better. I also used the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge for the box decoration. I soooo love this flower!

The cards are made slightly smaller than an A2 card. I usually make my own cardbase and buy A2 envys from Staples. But since I was making so many cards (4 per set and I made 16 sets) I cheated and bought 2 packages of premade cardbases w/ envys. They were on sale at Hobby Lobby for $4.99 a package of 50. I could not beat this price. Anyway, they were only 4" x 5" if I remember correctly. The DP were all from DCWV Linen Closet collection and the solid paper/card stock were all the 09-10 Stampin' Up In Color. The ribbons were also the Stampin' Up 09-10 In Colors except for the hot pink ribbon which was from Michael's. Most of the cuts were also from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge.

Wedding Shower #2

This is the second wedding shower card I made for a girl at work. I just love this Stampin' Up stamp. I stamped this numerous times and then layered for dimension and added stickles. The papers are Stampin' Up as well. Inside I used a Martha Stewart around the page punch for the inside.

Time to catch up!!!

Well I can hardly believe that I have not posted in over 2 months. So to catch up here are some cards I've made.

This first one was just made while I was experimenting with a new digi stamp!


This card is for Tammi's birthday!! Her birthday's not until June though, so I just have to hang onto it for a while.

This card for Kristin. She loves Dolphins so I just had to use Life's a Beach cartridge.

This card is for Brinn's Birthday. I guess people usually use this for "I heard you caught a bug" type of card...but I wanted to use it for a Birthday.

This is another birtday card but as of right now, its an extra!!!! Wow, I've done a lot of Birthday Cards!!! This one I gave to Stephanie. Another digi stamp that I colored with my new Copic markers.

Mojo Monday #125

Being Valentines day, I now have to start with the next holiday...Well I've decided to skip St. Patty's day (at least for now). So I made a Easter Card. Not sure I entirely like it. I used the Easter 2010 Cricut Cart for the circles and the bunny. I purchased this paper from Micheals. It is from My Minds Eye.

Spent some time in my craftroom

This past weekend I took a day for myself and spent it in my craftroom. I think I was up there for 8 hours. I organized some more (and I'm almost done). I spent most of my time watching tv while I started my Valentine Cards. I bought the Happy Heart Day stamp set by Stampin' Up sometime last summer from Ebay and I just had to use that cute Elephant. I then used my Cricut to cut the card and inside sentiment. I used Wild Card cartridge for those. I have sixteen done so far and have about 8 more to do.

Day after Christmas

So here are the cards I made yesterday. This is the first time I used printed images on my cards. I usually use stamped images or Cricut cuts. I had seen a video where they used vintage images. In the video, they clear embossed the image 5 times, put the image in the freezer for 20 minutes and then after removing the image from the freezer they cracked it to make it have a crazing look to it. Well I printed out my images from http://clearlyvintage.blogspot.com/, heat embossed them, but then did not end up putting in the freezer. I liked the images and was unsure if I would like it with the crazed/distressed look. So I left them as is.



So I went into work today. What a dedicated employee (ha ha). Every year, I say I will be organized so I don't go crazy at year-end. And every year I'm not. Well some day I will get there. I spent 6 hours working and still have that "Oh S****" feeling about getting everything finished before December 31st. The one good thing is that David is on Christmas Break. So I can go into work early and stay late. I'm debating on going into work again tomorrow. My brother has his daughter tomorrow so they are coming over around 5:00pm to exchange Christmas gifts.

Well one thing I will be working on tomorrow are some more cards. I started another one today. I only have to decorate the inside and then I will be done. I am really slow at designing and making cards. Good thing I'm not in a rush and I have enough patience to do it. Well I will post a picture of it tomorrow. I will also post my new goodies I've bought from Michael's the last few days. I love 50% coupons and clearence items (because Michael's coupons will apply to clearence items...woo hoo!!)
