Mojo Monday 140

I'm going to try to do the Mojo Monday each week. I did have this done yesterday for last weeks challange. You can click HERE to go to last weeks challange. I was a little disappointed, because I was going to actually post my link on the Mojo Monday website. But when I went at 8pm Eastern time, the link was already closed. They say it stays open until 8pm Mountain. Well it was probably due to the holiday that it was closed early. I will just have to try to get it done sooner next time. {smiling}

So for this card I used a Stampendeous stamp that I bought last year and my Stampin' Up label punch. Otherwise, no cricut this time...

Bluejay Graduation Card

I was asked to make a graduation card for a girl at work. She said the school colors were blue and gold. The mascot was a Bluejay. So this is what I came up with. The bird acually isn't a Bluejay, but I couldn't find a Bluejay cut for the Cricut. I googled Bluejay and tried to color my bird as close to a Bluejay as well as I could.

For the inside I made a border cut following the directions from Lori at Scrappin' my Stress Away. To make my border stick out more, I choose to mount it on a blue rectangle. Thank you Lori for the great directions for this border.

For this card I used the following cartridges with my gypsy:

50 States: Bird
Wild Card: Congratulations
Printing 101: Bluejay (the word)
Plantin School Book: Hats Off (part of inside border)
A Childs Year: Grad cap
George and Basic Shapes: Rectangles (part of inside border)

Beer Anyone???

I made to for Pat at work. Everyone thought this fit him perfectly. After being inspired on Youtube by a hand cut beer mug (minus the handle), I decided to make my own on my gypsy.

I used George and Basic Shapes for the mug and Doodlecharms for the beer head/foam. The cut for the head/foam is actually the top of the cupcake...he he. I then used Crystal Effects for the beer running down the mug. A big Thanks to the original maker. I usually write down the designer when I intend to use their card to create one of my own. I'm sorry I can't find that and give you the proper credit. Thank you anyway.

Wishing you a Speedy Recovery

This is a card I made as a commissioned card. My first!!!! I was inspired by Amy at Prairie Paper & Ink. You can click HERE to see her original post and card.

The stamp is a digital image I purchased at Karensdoodles.blogspot.com. The name is Little Helping Hands. I colored the image using Copic, Prisma and Marvy markers. The flowers and brads are Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. For the labels I used Nesties. The inside sentiment is computer generated.
