Cricut Okies 5-20 Card Challange

Here is the card I made for the Okies 5-20 Card challange from the Cricut Message board. I left the top right, of the center, open for the sentiment. I'm just not sure if I want to use as a birthday or other occasion. So I figure I will leave it blank until I need it and then I will stamp the sentiment. I used the Tinkerbell cart for the flower. I wasn't too happy at how it turned out at first so I decided to use stickles to make it stand out more. I used Storybook for the other layers and put everything onto a white cardbase.

Three little sheep went out to play

Outside of Card

Inside of card

Here is a card I made a few months ago using my cricut expression. I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the sheep and fence. I used Zooballoo for the grass, which I fused together in Design Studio, and the tree. All other supplies I used from my stash I've bought over the years and have no idea who the makers are (sorry). This card is kind of big at 6'" x 6". Though I left the card free of sentiment because I'm not sure what I would use this card for. I suppose this could be used for a new baby, new home or maybe just to say Hi.

For my card I used Stampin up 2009 In Color cardstock, Twitterpated Collection designer paper and stamps, Stampin up Old Olive ribbon and Lowel Cornell water color pencils.

Angels and Demons

I went to see Angels and Demons on Saturday. It was really good. It's been a while since I read the book so I could not tell you if it did the book justice or not. Now I wish they would make a movie from his book "Deception Point". That is my favorite book out the four he has written.

Glad it is Friday

I'm glad it is finally the weekend. Went out to dinner with my parents and visited for a little while. All is going well for them.

David has a baseball tournament on Saturday. Providing that the weather holds up, it is promising to be an all day event. I wish I could take my card making supplies with me... I will have to settle for a book and the portable DVD player.

Below is a card I made from watching a video on Youtube. To be honestI'm not sure who posted it and I appolgize to whoever it is. The video was very detailed and I had no problem following it and dupicating it (though I used my own color scheme and stamp).

I beleive this is called a Waterfall card. I used a stamp from Hero Arts that I purchased from Michaels. The designer paper I believe came from one of those paper stacks (from Michaels or JoAnn's). I purchased so much paper years ago and I'm finally starting to put it to good use.

Birthday Card

I made this birthday for my father last March. I used Stampin Up tree stamp from the "Lovely as a tree" set. I masked out the center and stamped the background using Stampin Up River Rock ink. Then stamped the tree again, using markers to color the stamp, after I removed the masking tape. The Happy Birthday came from a stamp set I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

Mothers Day

Went out to dinner at Applebee's with my parents, brother and David. After dinner we went to my parents house and just visited.

Movie Day

I treated myself to a movie for Mothers Day. I went to see "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past". I enjoyed this movie. Though who wouldn't enjoy a Matthew McConaughey movie? Though I don't like the long hair that he sported in his past sequence.

Melissa's 21st Birthday

I made this for a co-worker who just turned 21. I used cricut to make the bouquet of cupcakes and balloons. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings and Celebration carts. These were cut from glitter card stock which was pretty thick so I did not need anything else to stablize them. I attached them to craft dowels that were pre-cut at 12". The card was made using Stampin Up stamp sets: Boho Backgrounds and One of a Kind. I also used Stampin Up scallop hole punch and 1 3/8 hole punch.

My Day

Nothing exciting today. I took Monday and Tuesday off from work. For no particular reason, I just needed a few days off. I Went back to work today. But sometimes the time it takes to get caught up from time off doesn't make it worth taking the time off...LOL

David had no baseball games today. They had practice from 5 - 7:30. Weather permitting they have a double header at Grand Ledge tomorrow. Hope they do good. This is one of the best teams in the area.

Wiper Card

I made this wiper card based on a video I watched on youtube. The video was from Dawn5377. I really like her videos. She always gives good dimensions and directions. Thank you for the inspiration.

My first Halloween Cards

My first attempt at halloween cards (October 2007). I really enjoyed making these. Actually this was also my first attempt at making cards. I have been quilting, which has been my favorite hobby for a while now. I branched off to scrapbooking a few years ago. I enjoy that as well.
